Long ago, when the world was young, disaster struck the four
quarters of the earth. Flood, plague, famine, and many other calamities fell
upon the entire earth, and no land was spared nor was even a single grain of sand
given mercy. As the world fell to ruin in its weakened state, a bright light
fell and from it, a being unlike human descended.
That being was known to all as “The D’jinn King.”
When the D’jinn King came unto the earth, he brought forth
many miracles; healing, creation of water, moving mountains and even the
creation land.
In that time, there were twelve people who sought him out
for the sake of their people from distant lands as they heard of his great
works. They travelled great lengths through stormy seas, scorching deserts,
freezing tundras, and vast oceans to meet him. Despite all their hardships,
they kept on pressing forward till they reached The King’s Mountain, and at the
summit of that mountain, was the D’jinn King.
Impressed by their courage and determination, the D’jinn
king heeded unto their pleas, but he knew he was not able to be at places at
once, and so he began the very first sermon of magic ever given unto human
beings.
Holders of magic were known as Magus, and the very first
were known as the Magi Grand Priests. Bestowed each with a D’jinn, known as the
First Order of Magi, they went back and passed down magic throughout the world.
And so, the Earth was peaceful and the D’jinn King was happy
and went away, leaving the First Order to look after the world as he left
without worry, or so he thought.
Throughout the period of his absence, humans began to
harness magic for selfish reasons. Some began weaponizing it; some began to
resort towards more gruesome magic, while others have violated the Law of The
First Order.
As the First Order became aware of the greedy deeds of the
people, they were enraged that they came down to destroy humanity; however that
conflict reached the ears of the D’jinn King.
The First Order’s rampage left a huge scar in humanity, that
dreadful time in human history was known as the Scourging.
The D’jinn King speedily returned to cease the conflict
between humanity and the First Order. He was furious at the both of them, but
seeing that humans were at fault, he granted their wish for destruction.
From that time, humanity was given two choices, to either be
destroyed fighting the D’jinns or to resolve their wishes through battle with
each other. Being filled with fear, humanity voted for the later, and thus the
Magi Cup was established.
In order to determine their standings as a country, nation,
etc; every ten years, a tournament is to be held to satisfy humanity’s urge for
destruction and lead resolve conflict in a peaceful yet death defying manner
for the prize of a wish to be granted.
Those to enter this competition were known as the Majins, a
Mage paired with a D’jinn, and for several years, this customary tradition has
been what made the world continue peacefully, until one day...
“Don’t you dare end this with a cliff hanger you, you,
you... you something (please help this person by inserting a word here, lol)!
You are surrounded!”
“Oh… You have to be kidding me,”
“BOOOOM!”
